Blood on paper
If we do not consider medical tests and surgeries, the blood that is always shed (both animal and human) and can be seen is due to a wound, a wound that is most often the result of violence, the reason is not different.
One of my friends and I did this project at a religious ceremony in the month of Muharram in Zanjan,Iran, where thousands of cows and sheep are sacrificed every year as a sign of respect.
For me, this project was like painting on the street, on a street that is full of blood. A painting that used real blood instead of paint. A painting in which I was able to literally record aspects of violence on paper. Violence that never ends.
